The model is made from thick card and comes with pre-applied adhesive on the tabs for a mess free activity. The accompanying sticker and poster set are then used to assess the understanding of the position and relationship between pillars.

Suggested Uses

It has to be remembered that Pyramid Pillars is primarily a summative display of the pillars of the deen of Islam and presents a simple illustration to help understand the position of the pillars and their relation to one another. Understanding the hierarchical levels and structure of the pillars is often a point of confusion for many primary aged children.

The pyramid model could be used as the primary focus during the discussion of any one of the pillars. The sticker and poster set could be conducted as an exercise prior and/or after any discussion of the pillars in order to gauge the understanding of the children or the effectiveness of the discussion in clarifying any misconceptions.

Even when the discussion of the pillars is complete, both the pyramid model and the sticker & poster set make excellent display pieces for use both at home and in the classroom.
