“The one who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy." (Prophet Muhammad)

A pregnant wife. Six children. Two cats, a cockatoo and a guinea pig.

Life was challenging enough for Joshua Adams before his long-lost father showed up.

All of his life, Joshua has struggled with anger and resentment against his absentee father. When Sam says he wants to know his sons again, Joshua hopes for a fresh start. But the reunion is disastrous. And the aftermath is worse.

Words spoken in a moment of anger haunt Joshua as Sam seeks revenge. In the power struggle between father and son, Joshua must rely on his faith to help him survive.

Sam's return also dredges up painful memories for Evie and Brad as dark echoes rebound from a life they had chosen to forget.

And Umar struggles with a long-hidden secret that is finally revealed. Can he integrate his past with his life as a Muslim?

Echoes of the past ring through Rebounding. Revenge and revelation dominate this sequel to Echoes, the first book in this series that is available at, or by contacting the author at for an autographed copy.

Author Biography:

Jamilah Kolocotronis is an American Muslim who grew up as "Linda" in St. Louis, Missouri. She accepted Islam at the age of twenty-three, after a spiritual search which included the reading of the Bible, cover to cover, and the Bhagavad Gita, a brief stint at a Lutheran seminary in Chicago and membership in a Unitarian/Universalist congregation.

Jamilah has a doctorate in Social Science Education, and taught in an Islamic school for many years. While teaching she developed an Islamic approach for teaching the social studies at all levels. She has also written the novel Innocent People, about a Muslim family in the year after 9/11, and the nonfiction book Islamic Jihad, about the principles and practices of military jihad.

She has six sons, ages twenty-two to nine. Because of her experience as a mother of boys, she is especially interested in producing literature which appeals to young Muslim men.

Jamilah loves to travel. She has lived in six different states, and has traveled through most of the United States. She has also traveled throughout Southeast Asia. She currently lives with her husband and their younger children in central Massachusetts
