Description from the publisher:

From the Publishers:

One of the most prominent Urdu poet Faiz Ahmad ęFaizĘ was born in 1911 in Sailkot (now in Pakistan), and ever since his student life, he had been writing poems and articles on Urdu literature. He had been very active in political, social, and cultural activities. He was described by Firaq Gorakhpuri, another pillar of Urdu poetry, as an institution in Urdu poetry.

He compiled several collections of his poetry, most popular being ęNaqsh-e-FariyadiĘ, ęDast-e-SabaĘ and ęZindan NamaĘ.

This collection includes a selection of FaizĘs poetry from all of his collections and can well be defined as a representative collection of his poetical works.

Sine Urdu Poetry has gained great popularity even among non-Urdu speaking people, the Publishers feel proud to present this book in multilingual edition. It includes Urdu text, poetical translation into English and Romanized and Hindi (Devanagri) transliteration of each of the poems. English poetic translation has been done by Khwaja Tariq Mahmoo, who had earlier done similar translation of selected poetry of Mirza Ghalib, Allama Iqbal, Sahir Budauni.

It is hoped that the readers will find this unique attempt of the publishers acceptable and appreciable.
